it's a girl

we just found out that it's a girl. we are so excited about this new little member of our family coming september 08'!!!

Fasting

Well our church (www.theharvest.us) has begun a 24 day fast. The first 3 days are just water and the last 21 days are just fruits and vegetables. we are on our second day of just water, and let me tell you my flesh isn't liking this one bit.  its funny when you realize how much we allow food to consume our everyday. i am really already noticing (between the nausea and headaches) just how clearly you begin to think when a fast is taking place, i am believing God for many things during this fast and i know that they will come to pass. Well back to my delicious bottle of dasani water.

look ma' dads running!!

Ever have one of those moments in life that make you really think about who you are?  Well, awhile back, the kids and I were outside playing around and I decided to run after them.  The kids thought that the fact that I was actually running was so fantastic that they hollered out to Ammye, "look mom, dad's running!!"  Now this was funny at the time, but I started to think, "hey man maybe I should, you know, start exercising and possibly run occasionally too.  It's not that I don't like to run or that I even think running is remotely evil, I just choose to walk or meander to wherever I may be going. So, I have decided to change things for my health and the sake of my children's mental well being (thinking that when I run it is a really special event).  So, now Harrison and I are running/walking 2 miles  a day.  Ok, we are walking/running 2 miles a day, but hey you have to start somewhere huh?  Never again will I hear those words, "look ma, dad's running !!"

well here it is the first picture of our new (choopy-lupy) we are so excited , they said the due date is around sept 12, of course ammyes b-day is on the 8th what a gift huh?

no more 1990's green

well i spent the last 3 days re-painting our shutters and front door. sure the project took a bit longer then i thought, but the result was well worth it, our shutters and door were that wonderful 1990's" kirklands" hunter green (ugh). any way i couldn't take it any more so i painted them a great color called turkish coffee.
isn't it funny how sometime spiritually we get kind of stuck in our own little groove, instead of listening to what god is telling us, so we can change and grow for the better, believe me he doesn't want us to be hunter green forever.

we're having a baby!! we are all so excited, and will keep you posted as we go!! we dont know yet but are guessing the due date is mid august or early september 08, will find out soon!!
